Acting for Latrobe University in relation to the University City of the Future project in the procurement process for a development partner and in negotiating a strategic partnering agreement including all supporting legal documents.
Acting for Department of Treasury and Finance in the sale of the former Fitzroy Garden Gasworks to a government purchaser, negotiating and drafting the contract documentation involving provisions dealing with rezoning, site remediation and apportionment of costs and affordable housing requirement.
Acting for Department of Treasury and Finance on the agreement between the State Government and Melbourne City Council for the Queen Victoria Market redevelopment, involving a comprehensive understanding of Crown land and road closure issues, surrender and re-grant of land and advising on all project risks.
Acting for Port Phillip City Council in the redevelopment and long-term lease of the St Kilda Marina including the EOI and RFP processes, drafting Crown leases for the development and operation of the marina.
Acting for Maroondah City Council in the Ringwood Town Centre Redevelopment project involving the sale of council land to a major shopping centre owner for a mixed use development. The project involved the development of a town square and library/knowledge facility to be transferred to Council.
Advising Moreland City Council on The Coburg Initiative, a town centre regeneration project in Coburg, involving negotiating an agreement to provide for the progressive handing over to a developer of 20 Council-owned sites for the development of pre-agreed projects including residential, commercial, retail and civic facilities.
Advising Regional Development Victoria on the Ballarat Station precinct Redevelopment Project involving the procurement of an integrated four-star hotel and exhibition/conference centre, commuter car park and public realm facilities.
Advising Port Phillip City Council on the redevelopment of the Palais Theatre in St Kilda, including providing advice to Council on all aspects of the project, negotiating with the current operator, assisting with an international EOI process and RFP process and drafting a long term Crown land lease with the new tenant.
Acting for Cardinia Shire Council on the development of a new civic centre and council offices, including assisting Council with the procurement process for a preferred developer and negotiating an agreement to lease and lease.
Acting for Greater Dandenong City Council in negotiating a land swap in central Dandenong with Development Victoria.
Acting for Regional Development Victoria in acquiring various land parcels to facilitate a catalyst project for the development of a hotel and conference facility in Marysville, including advising on the procurement process and negotiating a development agreement for the sale and development of land.

Acting for Darebin City Council in negotiating a long term ground lease with a registered housing agency for the development of a multi-storey affordable housing project in Preston, including advising on all aspects of the procurement process.
Acting for Port Phillip City Council in the sale of land to a registered housing agency for the development of land for affordable housing and ground level public car parking to be retained by Council.
Acting for Glen Eira City Council in negotiating a section 173 agreement and escrow agreement with 3 major landowners for the delivery of affordable housing, in anticipation of rezoning of land.
Acting for Yarra City Council in negotiating a section 173 agreement with the developer of the Alphington Paper Mill site for delivery of affordable housing, to be retained by a registered agency.
Acting for Banyule City Council on the revitalisation of the Bellfield precinct for social and market housing including assisting in the procurement processes, advising on probity, commercial and governance issues and funding arrangements for the developments, and preparing and negotiating all necessary documentation.
Acting for Melbourne City Council on the refurbishment and use by a registered housing provider of a Council owned building for delivery of housing and wrap around services for persons experiencing homelessness.
Acting for Melbourne City Council in the procurement process for the divestment of a car park site in North Melbourne to a registered agency for the development of land for affordable housing.
Acting for the Department of Health and Human Services in the social housing pipeline program pilot project. The project involved the procurement of social housing dwellings using 50 parcels of surplus land owned by the Director of Housing, in consideration of the Director making the balance of land available to the developer for market housing.
Acting for Development Victoria and the Department of Human Services jointly in relation to the redevelopment of the Markham Estate including the drafting of a development agreement, the procurement of public housing and the development of private dwellings in an integrated manner.
Advising the Department of Health and Human Services on the Carlton Housing Redevelopment Project involving the procurement of social housing and the sale of land for the development of market housing over three existing social housing sites in Carlton, whilst achieving the policy objective of social integration.
Acting for Hobsons Bay City Council in the negotiation of a contract for sale and section 173 agreement for the delivery of an affordable housing project.

Acting for Wyndham City Council in negotiating a development agreement with the Western Melbourne Group, who have secured a new A-League football licence, to utilise the value capture potential of 60 hectares of Council owned land in Tarneit for residential and commercial purposes, to fund a 15,000 seat rectangular stadium of national standard.
Acting for Wyndham City Council in negotiating a long term lease comprising a football training precinct and pavilion for elite level football training and community use.
Negotiating venue and training leases for AFL clubs (including St Kilda, Hawthorn, North Melbourne, Melbourne, and Carlton) on behalf of council landlords.
Advising Casey City Council on all aspects of the development of Casey Fields as an elite sporting precinct, including negotiating use and development agreements with Melbourne Football Club and Melbourne City Football Club.
Advising Moonee Valley City Council regarding a long term lease for Riverside Golf and Tennis Centre.
Advising Kingston City Council on the re-negotiation of the lease to St Kilda Football Club at Moorabbin Reserve, providing for the redevelopment of the Reserve to establish state of the art sporting and community facilities.
Acting for Frankston City Council in the lease of Belvedere Reserve to the St Kilda Football Club for the development of new facilities at the site for use for the tenant’s sports programs and to allow greater community access to the sporting and other facilities at the reserve.
Acting for the former Department of Environment, Land and Planning in regard to a lease for a proposed hot springs resort at Point Nepean Quarantine Station.
Advising Mount Buller Resort Management on snowfield leases for commercial and residential uses.
Acting for Whitehorse City Council in the long term lease of the Morack Public Golf Course. The project involved assisting council in the procurement process for appointment of a preferred tenant and negotiating a lease involving the construction of council’s capital works and the tenant’s fitout works.
Advising CBUS in negotiating a section 173 agreement with Melbourne City Council in respect of publicly accessible areas surrounding the Marvel Stadium.

Advising Banyule City Council on the sale of the former Rosanna library site to Woolworths for development as a supermarket, including drafting heads of agreement and contract of sale documentation, all necessary advice concerning Council’s statutory powers of sale, rezoning and Windfall Gains Tax.
Acting for Port Phillip City Council in the sale and development of land for the Pride Centre in Fiztroy Street, St Kilda, including negotiating a section 173 agreement to secure development outcomes.
Acting for Fed Square Pty Ltd in negotiating the lease for the proposed flagship Apple store at Federation Square.
Acting for Frankston City Council in the sale of council land for the development of South East Water’s new office headquarters.
Acting for Cardina Shire Council in the sale of land for the development of a Woolworths supermarket, discount department store and specialty shops and the provision of additional public car parking.
Acting for developers of a new building for VicRoads Western region headquarters at Sunshine.
Advising Council landlords on leases and licences at Queen Victoria Market, South Melbourne Market, Camberwell Market and Dandenong Market.
Acting for Stonnington City Council regarding its lease arrangements for the Prahran Market including advising on governance and shareholding arrangements.

Acting for Fed Square Pty Ltd in negotiating the redevelopment of commercial occupancies of Federation Square, including leases with the National Gallery of Victoria, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Transport Hotel, Koori Heritage Trust and all other tenants at Federation Square.

Advising Whitehorse City Council on land acquisitions for public open space purposes.
Acting for Bayside City Council in relation to land acquisitions on the former CSIRO site for public open space purposes, involving negotiating section 173 agreements for delivery of the land parcels and development outcomes.
Acting for Nillumbik Shire Council in compulsorily acquiring multiple land parcels for the development of the Diamond Creek Trail.
Acting for Yarra Ranges Shire Council in the acquisition of land by private treaty for public open space purposes.
Acting for Yarra City Council in the discontinuance of roads for conversion of land to council freehold owned public open space.

Acting for the Department of Health regarding acquisition of land required for the redevelopment of the Ballarat Base Hospital, involving the provision of strategic advice regarding land acquisition including leasehold interests.
Advising the Department of Treasury and Finance in the disposal of a site to Jewish Care which involved negotiating a contract of sale including the creation of a use restriction on the Crown grant.
Acting for Victoria University in the sale of University land to the Minister for Health for the development of the New Footscray Hospital, including establishing a data room of affected properties and tenancies, advising on State Government policy for acquisition of land, negotiating lease back to the University of academic spaces within the new hospital, negotiating termination of leases with existing tenants of University land and negotiating construction of a pedestrian bridge linking new hospital with existing University campus.
Acting for Roman Catholic Trust Corporation in negotiating long term leases of church property to aged care providers.
Acting for Victoria University in negotiating a new lease for Western Health at Sunshine Hospital.
Acting for Villa Maria Catholic Homes Limited in the acquisition of land for aged care facilities.
Acting for the Royal Women’s Hospital in the acquisition of a discontinued road to facilitate land consolidation.

Acting for La Trobe University in relation to the University City of the Future project including advising on potential deal structures and governance arrangements as a framework for the project and drafting a strategic partnering agreement and associated documentation with the development partner.
Acting for Monash University in respect of the acquisition of University land by SRLA for creation of new station precinct, including providing advice on SRLA’s powers of acquisition, drafting terms sheets for the transaction, advising on relocation of University student accommodation and childcare facilities from acquired land, advising on valuation, property and governance issues, negotiating heads of agreement, contract of sale and relocation agreement with SRLA and advising on Valuer General and Victorian Government Land Monitor requirements.
Acting for Victoria University in acquiring a site for the University’s city campus precinct, documenting EOI and RFP processes to identify an institutional developer capable of constructing a city tower project, drafting transaction documentation for the sale of land to ISPT and lease back to the University of academic space in new tower development.
Advising Monash University in a joint venture project for the redevelopment of the University’s Caulfield campus, including drafting EOI and RFP documentation, legal due diligence on leases and other encumbrances affecting title, and negotiating and advising on development agreement with joint venture partner for proposed development comprising academic, retail and residential components.
Acting for University of Tasmania in a proposed relocation of the main campus from Sandy Bay to Hobart CBD, including due diligence of University’s CBD landholdings, advice on University’s legislative powers, preparing RFP documentation for market, reviewing and advising University on bids received.
Acting for Swinburne University in the disposal of Swinburne University's Prahran Campus to the Minister for Education, including advising the University on road discontinuance and public access issues and re-establishment of occupancy arrangements with community groups. We drafted all legal documentation including a memorandum of understanding, funding deed and contract of sale.
Acting for Trinity College, University of Melbourne, in negotiating an agreement for lease and lease for a new tertiary educational facility in Elizabeth Street, Melbourne.
Acting for Swinburne University in the disposal of the Lilydale campus, including drafting EOI and RFP documents, provision of probity advice and negotiating a contract of sale and working closely with the Department of Education, Government Land Monitor and Valuer General.
Acting for the Department of Education on the compulsory acquisition of a new school site in Doreen requiring complex advice concerning its options to acquire the land, with the acquisition ultimately proceeding by way of a compulsory acquisition based on waivers secured from the Attorney-General and the Governor in Council.

Acting for Bayside City Council in negotiating a lease for a waste and recycling facility in Cheltenham dealing with remediation of existing contamination and responsibility for future contamination.
Acting for Wodonga City Council in negotiating a lease for the development and operation of a solar energy generation plant.
Acting for Kingston City Council in negotiating a lease for a landfill facility.

Acting for Boroondara City Council in respect of acquisition of Council land by North East Link Authority for new freeway construction including advising on key terms of sale, environmental and valuation issues, drafting and negotiating a contract of sale, negotiating construction access licences and negotiating with tenants occupying the acquired land.
Acting for Fed Square Pty Ltd on the acquisition of subterranean land under Fed Square for the Melbourne Metro project, including valuation and property law advice, negotiating interim lease for underground station, negotiating construction access licence for station early works, negotiating with Fed Square tenants in respect of disruption to business claims.
Acting for Hume City Council in respect of an acquisition by agreement by Department of Transport for the Craigieburn Road widening.
Advising Monash City Council on all the aspects of the acquisition by SRLA of land in central Glen Waverley and Clayton, including providing advice on SRLA’s powers of acquisition, drafting terms sheets for the transaction, advising on valuation and tenancy issues, advising on road discontinuance issues and negotiating a heads of agreement with SRLA.
Acting for Wyndham City Council on the compulsory acquisition of land by the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure for the purpose of the Regional Rail Link.
Acting for Whitehorse City Council in negotiating temporary relocation agreements regarding the North East Link Project.
Advising Monash City Council on the compulsory acquisition of a property at Mount Waverley to create a bike and walking path, including drafting statutory notices of acquisition, and negotiating compensation claims with the landowner.
Acting for Cardinia Shire Council in relation to various level crossing projects including advising on various memorandums of understanding, works agreements, asset agreements, leases and licences.
Acting for Kingston City Council in negotiating with LXRA for the sale of Council land to enable construction of a multi-deck car park and lease back of public car parking spaces to Council.

Advising Horsham Rural City Council on the development and leasing of a major intermodal freight terminal.
Acting for Wodonga City Council in relation to the sale of the land for the development of the Wodonga Rail Terminal involving negotiating a suite of documents including contract of sale, section 173 agreement and option deeds.
Acting for Wodonga City Council in the sale and lease of land at Logic, being council’s industrial park in Barnwartha North. Development projects have included an interstate transport and distribution services facility, Wodonga TAFE, a service centre, fatigue management centre and trailer interchange facility, Woolworths distribution centre, a silage contracting facility and timber manufacturing plant.
Acting for Wodonga City Council in the acquisition of land from the Commonwealth for use as a quarry.

Advising Cardinia Shire Council on an EOI and tender process for a joint venture agreement with Delfin Limited (now Lendlease Communities) to create the new suburb of Lakeside, involving the subdivision and sale of 2,000 residential allotments on Council-owned land in Pakenham, as well as the development of civic facilities including the Cardinia Cultural Centre, the establishment of a suburban shopping centre at Lakeside comprising retail & commercial businesses, an emergency services precinct and sporting and recreational facilities.
Negotiating a development agreement for Melton City Council with Lendlease Communities through which 5000 residential lots, civic and recreation facilities and other infrastructure are being constructed on Council-owned land, creating a new suburb at Atherstone and advising Council on all aspects of the development throughout the project.
Acting for Brimbank City Council in compulsorily acquiring residential properties in St Albans for redevelopment for public purposes.
Acting for Villa Maria Catholic Homes Limited in the sale of a development site in Kew for residential purposes, including negotiating sale conditions to ensure a development outcome sympathetic to its adjoining landholding.
Acting for Hume City Council in conducting a competitive process to identify a joint venture partner and negotiating a development agreement for the establishment of a residential subdivision on Council land.

Acting for Yarra City Council, Stonnington City Council and Port Phillip City Council in the road discontinuance process and sale of land to adjoining owners.
Advising Port Phillip City Council in respect of the Kirrip Park project which involved the discontinuance of roads surrounding land owned by council and the state government to create an enlarged land parcel for a public park.
Acting for CBUS in the acquisition of subterranean land beneath Goldsborough Lane, Melbourne and acquiring a licence over airspace above Goldsborough Land from Melbourne City Council.
Advising Melbourne City Council on road issues forming part of the redevelopment of Myer Melbourne including the sale of laneways and granting rights over airspace and subterranean land within roads.
Advising multiple councils on all road issues including claims for adverse possession over roads.
Acting for the Department of Treasury and Finance in the Queen Victoria Market redevelopment which involved negotiating an agreement for the discontinuance of government roads and transfer of land to Melbourne City Council.
Acting for Yarra City Council in the discontinuance of a subterranean parcel of road to an adjoining owner for development of a basement car park and negotiating a section 173 agreement to allocate risk associated with the ground level road.
Acting for Nillumbik Shire Council in its capacity as claimant for land acquisition required for the Yan Yean road widening project.

Advising Whitehorse City Council in the procurement process for the sale and redevelopment of a council carpark in Box Hill for a residential and mixed use development incorporating a community facility, including drafting the contract of sale and section 173 agreements.
Advising Monash City Council in respect of EOI and RFP processes and subsequent negotiation with potential developers for the sale and development of Central Car Park in Glen Waverley, involving for a proposed mixed use project, drafting conditions for expression of interest and request for proposal documents, drafting terms sheets for contract of sale, section 173 agreement and development agreement, advising on Council’s statutory obligations and probity considerations.
Acting for Hume City Council in negotiating a lease to the Department of Transport for commuter car parking spaces in a multi-deck car park at Sunbury.
Acting for Brimbank City Council in negotiating the sale of a car park in Sunshine for the development of a Vietnamese Cultural Museum.
Advising South Gippsland Shire Council in conducting an EOI process and negotiating with the successful proponent for the sale of a car park in Korumburra for development as a supermarket.
Acting for Whitehorse City Council in drafting EOI documentation and management agreements for car parks in Box Hill.
